Hola —

Bold ideas deserve more than encouragement. They deserve an operator.

FABI is the boutique practice of Fabiola Ramírez — mentorship, consultation, and coaching for artists, creatives, and cultural organizations. Twenty years in the arts, sharpened by real operational fire. A few clients at a time, all the way in.

The what-now moment

Every creative career hits it.

The training is done, the work is good, the momentum is real — and then the question arrives: what now? How do you turn talent and hard-won skill into a career you love, without losing the thing that made you start?

Most artists are handed inspiration when what they need is infrastructure. Deadlines, pricing, negotiations, systems, next moves. Someone who has seen the whole board.

Artists

Shows are coming, commissions are landing, and the admin is eating the studio time. You need structure that protects the work.

Creative entrepreneurs

You can make the thing. Selling it, pricing it, and growing it is a different discipline — one you shouldn't have to learn alone.

Cultural organizations

You need senior strategy and operations capacity, minus the full-time hire.

Your favorite ART'TIE

Part mentor, part consultant, part coach — the blend adjusts to what your career needs, when it needs it.

Mentorship

The long game.

Regular, honest counsel from someone who has spent two decades helping artists grow — goals, decisions, hard conversations, and the encouragement that only comes from someone who's truly watching.

Consultation

The operator's toolkit.

Strategy, structure, and hands-on execution: project plans, pricing, negotiation, systems, partnerships. Ideas are cheap. Realized ideas are the business.

Coaching

The push.

Accountability with love. The voice that asks the uncomfortable question, plays out the tough conversation with you, and doesn't let the bold idea shrink to a safe one.

Cómo funciona

How it works

We talk.

A discovery call, about thirty minutes. You bring where you are and where you're stuck. No pitch, no pressure — just an honest read on whether we fit.

We map it.

If we work together, we start with the plan: your goals, the roadmap, and a working rhythm that fits your practice.

We build.

Ongoing partnership. Strategy sessions, check-ins between them, real help when things get real. FABI stays in your corner from vision to finished, funded, shipped.

Twenty years, two worlds

Fluent in the artist's world. Ruthless about the follow-through.

Fabiola Ramírez has spent her career at the intersection of creativity and execution — public programs, nonprofit leadership, and institutional partnerships since 2000. Then she stepped outside the arts and ran operations in a fast-paced, high-stakes industry: sales, negotiation, crisis management, systems under pressure. She came back to the arts carrying both.

What clients and mentees say

"I came to Fabi eight years ago asking her to be my mentor. Over the years she has guided me through some of the most challenging and exciting professional and personal growth periods, giving me wisdom, strategy, encouragement… More than anything, she's showed me the power of staying true to myself. She is one of the smartest, passionate and hardworking women I know. 10/10 recommend, again and again."

Comunidad

Career-building is better together.

FABI hosts monthly meetups with Latinx artists — a room where the work, the wins, and the what-nows get talked about out loud.

FABI keeps the roster small. On purpose.

FABI is for you if…

  • You're a working artist, creative entrepreneur, or cultural org with real momentum and real questions.
  • You want honest counsel, not applause.
  • You're ready to treat the career like it matters — structure, deadlines, and hard conversations included.

Probably not for you if…

  • You're looking for a cheerleader or a quick fix.
  • The idea still needs to exist before it needs an operator.
  • You want a big-agency machine. This is one person, deeply in, by design.

A few clients at a time. When there's room, there's room.

Preguntas

Questions, answered straight.

What does working with FABI actually look like?

An ongoing partnership, usually monthly — regular sessions plus real support in between. The blend of mentorship, consultation, and coaching adjusts to your season: some months are strategy, some are execution, some are talking you off a ledge before a big negotiation.

What does it cost?

Engagements are shaped person by person, so pricing happens in the discovery call — after we both know what you actually need. The call itself costs nothing.

I'm an organization, not an artist. Does FABI work with us?

Yes. Fabiola brings senior strategy and operations capacity to cultural organizations and nonprofits — planning, partnerships, systems — without the full-time hire.

How long do engagements last?

As long as they're useful. Some clients work with Fabiola for a season around a specific project; some have been in her corner for years. No lock-ins.

Do you only work with Chicago artists?

No. Fabiola works with clients across the country — Chicago is home, but the practice travels well over video.
